Returns and exchanges policy

New returns and exchanges policy from September 1st 2018

A receipt is required for all returns and exchanges.

To get a full refund in the form of a credit note the product has to be unused, resellable and in the original packaging. It is also necessary to show the original receipt or gift receipt, which customers can ask for at the register when purchasing the product. If the product has been assembled, or if the packaging is missing or damaged, the customer is entitled to a refund of 70% of the original price, in the form of a credit note. It is also necessary to show the receipt or the gift receipt. If the returns and exchanges policy is not fulfilled, IKEA reserves the right to refuse a refund.

It is not possible to return or exchange plants, food, textiles, light bulbs or products from Umbúðalaust (As is). This returns and exchanges policy does not restrict any legal consumer protection.

Returns and exchanges policy for mattresses.

When you buy a new mattress, you have 90 days to make sure it fits your needs. If you are not satisfied, you can return it and choose another mattress instead. Note that the mattress needs to be clean and undamaged, and proof of purchase is necessary. The 90-day policy does not apply to mattress bases, slatted bed bases or mattress pads. All the mattresses have a 10-year gurantee.
