“When creating BACKSTÖRN pendant lamp, we wanted to capture a sense of movement. As if the leaf-like parts float and dance along the rod. The shape is sculptural, with something slightly mysterious about it like the changing phases of the moon – or a solar eclipse when the light is dimmed. The aluminium doesn’t feel cold and metallic, yet soft and cosy with a warm presence. It’s more than just a lamp. It evokes questions and curiosity – and leaves room for interpretation.”
