The FRÖDD collection is created in collaboration with skilled artisans at social businesses who have complemented the nature-inspired design with exquisite, hand-made details that bear nature's innermost essence. The collection is a mix of textiles and ceramics that brings a piece of nature into your home with hand-embroidered patterns reminiscent of a tree’s growth rings and printed patterns where the brushstroke effect feels both modern and calming.

Jóna Berglind Stefánsdóttir, textile designer, designed the products in the FRÖDD series. Jóna Berglind moved to Sweden in 2016 where she studied master's program at The Swedish School of Textiles, this led to a job in IKEA's design department. She already has designed several popular IKEA products and now adds these beautiful, natural products to the collection.

"The idea for the FRÖDD collection was sparked during a camping trip when I decided to try to convey the innermost essence of nature with unique handmade objects inspired by leaves and trees. An ambition that led to a collaboration with skilled artisans at social businesses who complimented my design with exquisite, handmade details. I hope that you, just as I do, appreciate the connection with nature that the collection evokes.”
